The best ideas, I’m told,
Lie buried six feet deep,
For too many a man
Hang onto his ideas
And never gave them life.
Think about it:
Everything that was,
Everything that is
Everything to be
Had, has and will have
An idea behind it.
For even God
When he first created the universe
And all that lies therein,
Had first to form a tiny version of it:
An idea
Therefore, let no man tell you
To “be resalistic” or “stop dreaming”
For he that does so is himself a dreamer;
Not realising that without ideas
His whole life would be
A bore,
A struggle,
Non-existent.
So whatever idea you have,
Small or big, simple or complex,
Give it life and let it do the rest,
Imprison it not in your mind:
Then you shall see
What great power there is
In an idea.
Who can understand
My thoughts and actions:
The reasons why,
The times when,
The places where,
And the means how?
Who is willing to seek the answers?
The principles that fuel,
The commitments that drive,
The dreams that direct,
And fears that restrain.
If none shall try
It is no matter
I seek not to please
Nor satisfy any other,
Though if that should be,
I shall be the happier.
What matters most
Is for me to know
The reasons why,
The times when,
The places where,
And the means how;
The principles that fuel,
The commitments that drive,
The dreams that direct,
The fears that restrain.
