Thank you, Thank you all very much for this wonderful award, in my walk as a motivational speaker as well as life coach I have learnt one truth, there is no such thing as a self made man.
This award ladies and gentlemen is a culmination of a lot of effort, dedication and love from alot of people in my life either directly or indirectly.
First and foremost I would like to thank God, for this gift of speech, for a strong support system from my family and relatives and for the ability and honour to speak into people's lives. I would like to say thank you to Olipa a very special and dear friend for her constant and consistent support and insight. In this line of work you cannot motivate people effectively if you come from a de-motivated home.
I would like to thank my Family for there love, care and support-look were this dreamer has ended up!! thanks to all my friends and foes- I love you all. Thanks for the encouragement and criticism. I am who I am because of you.
Finally but by no means the least i would like to thank one great woman albeit posthumously- for instilling in me a fine sense of responsibility-MUM when you taught me how to plough a maize field the size of two football fields and consistently told me to be determined- i had no idea that these words from your mouth, 'determination, focus and endurance', would put me on a collision course with destiny-talk about the power of words!!.
I am grateful that even as a woman of little or no formal education, you managed to motivate me to achieve every goal we set through your constant words and actions, you were a good example. Indeed success is not by accident but by deliberate choices made constantly and consistently as this award can now attest.
I dedicate this award to my Mother and all mothers who through daily interactions-words as well as actions that seem normal and average to them, have motivated their children to rise above the challenges and limitations of life, to sail far above the storms of life and who by not allowing their background of poverty and illiterancy to limit them, have helped against all odds, to create giants and pillars of society in their children and spur them to greatness.
I love you mum and I love you all- and remember there is no such thing as a self made man.
thank you and God bless you all.
