I thought it was my day
But I lay
I wished I was gay
On that day
I was never gay on that day
Pain filled my heart
All that I could see
Nor feel was the sea breeze
I believed that my own grave
Of pain and sadness
I had dug it and fell in
That was what crossed my mind
But, one day I took the plunge
Prayed to God
Meditated
A voice of hope spoke to me within
Child, you are born to be great
Through that inner voice
I was motivated
I rose from my pool of tears
And took a first step
'ACCEPTING WHO YOU ARE"
It was the voice of hope
I thank the voice of hope
God spoke to me.
